All of us are broken by circumstances either caused by unhealthy life choices or by circumstances that are beyond our control. Usually we have both. Life can shatter us, shatter our hearts, our minds and even our very souls. God doesn't want to leave us broken and shattered, He wants to heal us, put us back together completely whole. We need to do our part and offer Him our broken pieces, and let Him heal us and put everything back together the way it was meant to be, the way He designed us to be. He never intended for there to be hurt, pain, selfishness or sin in this world. He meant for us to be completely whole and in a life-giving relationship with Him.
I designed these pieces to show how even if you have been shattered that God can heal you and make beauty out of that brokenness.

The glaze on the front is a raku glaze. after firing in a raku firing, I put it in a kiln to melt glass on it. The effect was not what I expected, the colors that showed up were not always the colors that I had used and the glass had a shattered look, which I really liked.
