Rescued

I represented rescued by some old world patterns.

The patterns remind me of old ornate iron gates protecting the entry to some large estates. At times we feel vulnerable, under attack, and in need of protection or rescuing. It can be a dangerous situation we are in, or it can be an overwhelming feeling of depression or hopelessness, that we can’t seem to get out of. God is the one who will rescue us when we cry out to Him. He just waits for us to turn to Him, acknowledge that we need Him, that we can’t do life without Him. He knows that there will be trouble in our lives. He wants to do life with us, the good and the bad. He wants to be our place of shelter, our fortress. He wants to be our protection. He will rescue us if we let Him, it may not be in the way we think we need to be rescued, but it will be in the way we desperately need to be. God is faithful and completely trustworthy. Like King David discovered and writes about quite often in the psalms, Davis is completely confident in the Lord’s ability to save him. David finds God completely good, just and faithful. You can put your hope in the Lord. He may let you experience trouble, but He will be right there with you. He won’t leave you or forsake you ever!

Psalm 27:1 (NLT)  The Lord is my light and my salvation so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?

Psalm 34:17-19 (NLT)  The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.
